I wish the iTunes store would sync itself....worldwide!!!

So here goes the very first blog and I'm starting with a bit of a rant...

iTunes or more precisely the iTunes store...Isn't it so annoying when there's a new album you want which has been released in another country yet your local iTunes store hasn't yet picked it up and added it to the store? Urghhh it's so frustrating. I have been waiting about 2 weeks for a new EP by LA-based singer/songwriter Jay Nash - www.myspace.com/jaynash (who you'll come to hear lots about, if you stick with me) which was released in the US but hasn't hit any UK music store which means that I and Jay's other non-US fans are without what appears to be a great EP.

This is one of those examples where the music industry really shoots itself in the foot. There are people wanting to pay for good music and they can't buy it even though it's released. We now live in an age where music is truly global, so sharing it and enabling those who want it to be able to buy it is surely imperative, particularly given the amount of illegal downloads of music out there.

I'd be interested to hear of anyone else having the same frustration be it musicians or those buying music.

Next time we'll tackle the bigger issues, like why does your iPod take so long to sync or rather backup and is there a way to stop backups? No no, we won't that's just another one of my rants, hey feel free to comment on that too :-)

By the way I am actually a HUGE fan of Apple, iTunes and my iPod.

Cheers,

Rich
